DOR Research Seed Awards

The Division of Research's (DOR) Research Seed Awards are intended to seed innovative research projects that will continue at Brown beyond the life of the award.

We welcome a range of projects, from curiosity and exploration-driven ideas, to those that advance more established research areas to new directions. Ultimately this program aims to enhance Brown researchers’ competitiveness for external funding.

Brown's enterprise generative AI offerings address some data protection considerations. Other generative AI considerations and resources include Brown authorship guidelines and the Brown Library Guide on Generative AI.

Resources

The Research Strategy and Development team serves as a strategic partner to all awardees. The team provides targeted mentorship, grant writing support, and assistance with identifying and preparing proposals for external funding to help ensure the successful transition from seed funding to a larger project.
