The Division of Research is a comprehensive and strategic advocate for researchers at Brown, connecting them to critical resources inside and outside of Brown and supporting individuals and teams throughout every step of their research endeavors. Navigate the Research Cycle

The Division aims to make the research process less complex by partnering with researchers to develop initial research strategies, identify funding opportunities, submit proposals, negotiate contracts, establish funding structures, guide technology transfer, support startup ventures and more. Overall, the Division of Research aims to reduce the administrative workload for Brown researchers, protect their intellectual property, manage conflicts of interest, ensure integrity of research, maintain compliance with state and federal regulations and increase external funding of research at Brown.
