About the Division of Research
Supporting Research Every Step of the Way
The Division of Research at Brown is a strategic partner to researchers, connecting them to myriad critical resources inside and outside of Brown and facilitating partnerships with a range of external entities such as other universities, nonprofit organizations and industries.
The Division aims to make the research process less complex by supporting individuals and teams at every stage of research — from developing research strategies and identifying funding opportunities to submitting proposals and negotiating agreements and contracts to facilitating entrepreneurial ventures. The Division does all of this work while also protecting intellectual property, managing conflicts of interest, ensuring support for integrity in research and maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations.
