Reducing Red Tape in Research

Brown’s researchers are essential to the University’s mission and to building a better future. The University understands that minimizing administrative burden is critical to supporting your high-impact work. We are committed to making it as easy as possible for you to conduct your research.

To that end, the Division of Research has established a cross-unit team to reduce red tape in the research process. This team is dedicated to identifying and eliminating unnecessary bureaucratic barriers that hinder the efficient conduct of research at Brown.

The first part of this effort is focused on the contract process, with additional solutions to follow. We look forward to sharing more information about how we will continue to improve efficiency for Brown’s world-changing researchers in the coming months.
