Key Areas of Expertise
Research Administration Information Systems (RAIS) assists Brown researchers in several ways, providing support in the following areas:
- Proposal creation in Brown’s electronic grants management system (Huron)
- External electronic systems such as eRA Commons, research.gov and grants.gov
- Conflict of interest disclosures and Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) protocol development in InfoEd
- Business intelligence solutions for Brown department and senior management, such as reporting, visualizations and workflow notifications
- Development and implementation of Huron, an integrated grants management and Institutional Review Board (IRB) protocol management system
