Brown’s annual Research Achievement Awards, administered by the Division of Research, are an important way of recognizing exceptional faculty research

Brown University Provost Francis J. Doyle III has announced a major new investment in humanities research at Brown.

Full proposals are due Monday, Dec. 2 at 12 p.m. (noon) via UFunds. The Richard B. Salomon Faculty Research Awards are competitively awarded and support excellence in scholarly work by providing funding for selected faculty research projects deemed to be of exceptional merit.

The Research Seed Awards are now open. Submit your full proposal by Monday, October 28, 2024, 5 p.m. via UFunds. Seed Awards help faculty more successfully advance competitive research proposals by supporting the generation of preliminary data, pursuing new directions or collaborations in research, and other endeavors.

NIH has announced significant updates regarding stipends and subsidies for Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Awards (NRSAs), impacting over 17,000 early-career scholars.

In Fall 2018, the Division of Research instituted a process to set earlier deadlines for high-profile, regularly-occurring limited submission opportunities. The intent of the Limited Submission Calendars is to enable the Brown research community more time to plan for these opportunities.
