The Research Achievement Awards program was started nine years ago, with news of the awards carrying well beyond Brown, to tens of thousands of alumni and others. Early Career Awards and Distinguished Awards will be given in 2025 in each of the four categories for a total of eight awards: Humanities and Social Sciences, Physical Sciences, Life Sciences and Public Health, and Hospital-based research faculty. Each carries a research award of $5,000
The hope is for the pool of nominees to be as diverse and robust as possible. Nominations are now open through Monday, January 13, 2025. Nominations from those in the Brown Research community are welcomed and encouraged. The nomination process is simple: a nomination letter (self-nominations allowed), supporting letter from a faculty colleague, and CV are all that is required. A committee of faculty will review nominations and select the award recipients.
The nomination guidelines and prior awardees are available on the Division of Research website. Please contact research_opps@brown.edu with any questions, or visit the Division of Research website for application information and eligibility requirements.
