Division of Research

Brown's National Labs Day 2026

The Division of Research held its second convening of elite scientists and engineers from across the federal lab system on May 14, 2026. This year’s program focused on the transformative power of AI & AI-Enabled Research, bringing together the brightest minds in physical sciences and engineering to explore the next frontier of innovation.

Experts from Brookhaven, Lawrence Livermore, Los Alamos, and Sandia National Laboratories joined 150 faculty, students and postdocs to spark new collaborations, with a primary focus on the DOE’s Genesis Mission and its role in the future of energy innovation. By showcasing initiatives like these, Brown's National Labs Day provides a unique platform to bridge the gap between campus discovery and national impact, helping researchers scale their work and forge vital connections for the future.
