Search Funding Database
Since January 20, 2025, the pace of new federal funding opportunities being added daily via Grants.gov has fallen to between 80-90% of pre-January levels. However, there are other avenues for research funding. Earlier this year, RSD launched a new funding opportunity search platform - Pivot RP. This database provides expert-curated research funding opportunities from federal sources, foundations, and corporate sponsors. The U.S. federal funding opportunities make up only about 12-13% of the total number of opportunities in the Pivot-RP funding database. Faculty can rapidly identify funding sources, save curated lists, and set up automatic alerts for tracked funding opportunities. If you have any questions about this new tool or would like a demonstration, please reach out to the RSD team at orsd@brown.edu or schedule a demonstration.

Informational Webinar
In the coming months, RSD will deliver a presentation with consultants from McAllister & Quinn on federal funding trends relevant to Brown. McAllister & Quinn will analyze the FY26 President’s Budget Request and the FY26 Congressional Budget Justifications to provide insight into the funding priorities of this Administration. The goal of this webinar is to provide insight into new and upcoming federal funding opportunities of interest to Brown. Once the White House releases the FY26 President’s Budget Request, we will work with McAllister & Quinn to set a date for this webinar.
