This policy establishes a mechanism for holding animals not assigned to a current Brown University IACUC-approved animal use protocol, and defines the expectations and responsibilities of the Center for Animal Resources and Education (CARE) staff and the principal investigator (PI) when animals are moved to holding under this policy.

Reference this policy when a protocol expires and there are animals in house.
