Request IRB Role in Huron

Learn how to request new access/roles in the Huron system.

If you are either a new member of a central office in the Division of Research or BioMed Research Administration (BMRA) or a new member or alternate member of the Institutional Review Board (IRB), you need to submit a ticket through the Office of Information Technology (OIT) to request the proper IRB role in the Huron e-submission system.  

Please submit a Huron support ticket using the following steps:

  1. Use your Brown credentials to log in to the Office of Information Technology (OIT) Service Center ticket page.
  2. Select ACCESS > Huron Access Request to request new access/roles in the Huron system.
  3. Fill in all request fields, including contact information and a brief message summarizing the request.
  4. Submit the request.

You will receive a confirmation page (with your ticket number) as well as an email from the OIT helpdesk once your ticket is submitted.
