2025 Seed and Salomon awards announced

A combined 24 projects received recognition from the Seed and Salomon award programs in 2025.

Awardees for both the 2025 Seed and Salomon awards have been announced by the Brown University Division of Research. The 24 combined awardees span a range of disciplines from public health to physical sciences to social sciences to humanities and beyond. 

The Research Seed Awards help faculty develop more competitive research proposals by supporting the generation of preliminary data, pursuing new directions or collaborations in research, and other endeavors. Proposals were due for review on Oct. 28, 2024.

The Richard B. Salomon Faculty Research Awards are competitively awarded and support excellence in scholarly work by providing funding for selected faculty research projects deemed to be of exceptional merit. Proposals were due for review on Dec. 2, 2024.

The Seed and Salomon awardees, along with the Research Achievement Award winners, will be honored at the 2025 Celebration of Research on Tuesday, April 29, 2025.
