Brown University researchers visit Brookhaven National Lab
Led by Brown's Interim Vice President for Research Greg Hirth, a team of Brown researchers visited Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL) to discuss its cutting-edge research and possible future collaborations.
PROVIDENCE, R.I. [Brown University] — Brown's Interim Vice President for Research Greg Hirth led a team of 11 to Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL) to explore its cutting-edge research and facilities on Dec. 17, 2024.
Faculty connected with BNL scientists, toured key facilities, including beamlines, and discussed future collaboration opportunities. The trip, organized by Edel Minogue, senior director of Research Strategy and Development, facilitated new interdisciplinary collaboration possibilities for Brown researchers. At the trip's conclusion, attendees expressed their admiration for the visit, with many stating they were eager to pursue similar visits to other national labs.
